La Jenny Beach, Le Porge

La Jenny beach in Porge is a delight for lovers of the great outdoors and naturists. In fact, an area is reserved for naturist enthusiasts in the southern part of the beach. Considered one of the most authentic beaches of 33, it will appear before your eyes after crossing the pine forest and the dunes. Allow about 15 minutes to walk from the barrier at the end of the road that leads to the naturist center to get there.

Corniche beach, Pyla-sur-Mer

You will probably be familiar with it, as this is where several scenes from the movie “Camping” were filmed. The Corniche beach in Pyla-sur-Mer is located at the foot of the Pilat dune, the highest dune in Europe. Climb the stairs to the top, cool off in the ocean facing the Arguin bench, dry off on your towel and have a drink on the terrace before heading to the campsite. What do you think ?

South Beach, Lacanau

This is the only beach in the resort to have the Handiplage label, which rewards beaches with facilities for people with disabilities. A bicycle park is available for cycle tourists. Surfing is the king sport there, as on all the beaches of Lacanau.

Chambrette beach, Verdon-sur-Mer

Welcome to the Pointe du Médoc, on the banks of the Gironde estuary. This beach is ideal for families, because children can swim there in complete safety, far from the baïnes of the Silver Coast. A walk on the port of Verdon is essential after swimming.

Grand Crohot Beach, Lège-Cap-Ferret

This beach on the Cap-Ferret peninsula has a huge car park with 1,500 spaces, blockhouses and several restaurants nearby. It attracts a lot of celebrities and kitesurfers.

Ocean Beach, Hourtin

Hourtin is a small town in the Médoc known for its lake and its national nature reserve of dunes and marshes. The large ocean beach at Hourtin-Plage, about 12 km from the city center, is supervised in summer and has several car parks nearby. If you want a little privacy to put down your towel, don’t worry: the beach stretches for several tens of kilometers. You will find several accesses, in particular cycle paths. It is very popular with surfers. Swimming can be dangerous on certain days in the presence of strong currents.

Pin Sec beach, Naujac-sur-Mer

Don’t be surprised at the sight of the Atlantic Wall blockhouses on this 4 km long beach: they are part of the landscape. Pin Sec beach in Naujac-sur-Mer is very isolated, good news if you want to feel alone in the world during your camping stay in Gironde. Swimming, surfing and free flight are the most popular activities.

Moulleau Beach, Arcachon

From Moulleau beach, you will see the Pyla dune and the Arguin bench. For that alone, it is worth the effort. This sandy beach supervised in high season has a nautical center, showers, and restaurants. It is close to the city center, a great advantage if you want to go from swimming to visiting the center of Arcachon without having to take your car.

Dépée Beach, Grayan-et-Hôpital

One of the largest naturist centers in France has been set up near the beach of Dépée (Euronat). If you want to combine swimming, idleness, naturism and discovery of Medoc wines, this beach is definitely for you.

Truc Vert beach, Lège-Cap-Ferret

The setting alone is well worth the detour. This beach on the Cap-Ferret peninsula is an interesting surf spot, a good alternative to Lacanau. You will have to cross a national forest to reach this beautiful stretch of fine sand surrounded by a dune cordon.
